Unchained Prasiolite pendant

Part of the most recent "Unchained" series, exploring symmetry, negative space, and suspension of material. The stone is an impeccably faceted 14mm Prasiolite (green amethyst), prong set in sterling silver on sterling silver. 14 karat gold embellishments and partly chained together with 14k gold fill.

This was the most difficult piece to make from this last collection, with 26 solder seams and multi dimensions to line up decently.

Pendant measures 33 mm wide and 61mm tall, including the bail, and comes on a 20 inch sterling silver chain

What is 14/20 gold filled??

By law when a product is labeled as or made with with 14/20, it means that the item must contain 1/20 of 14 karat gold with relation to the metal core (5%). When I use gold filled bezel, all that gold is on the outside as well, making the gold extremely durable. With proper care, it should last a lifetime, and is an economical way to get actual gold at a lower cost.
